Introductory 4WD Course – (AS Compliant)

The Introductory 4WD Course is designed to get an understanding of how your vehicle will behave and how to properly prepare for going off-road.
Location
On Employer Worksite or Perth Hills. All participants will receive a certificate on completion.
Features
Approximately 2 hours of theory Instruction covering:
- General road safety;
- General vehicle safety;
- 4WD Vehicle preparation
- 4WD Vehicle behaviour & response
- 4WD techniques in various terrain
- Recovery techniques & equipment;
- 4WD safety
- Convoy travel
- Personal safety & risk
- Survival tips.
Practical exercises of approximately 4 hours, delivered in the field demonstrating:
- Pre-start checks;
- 4WD techniques in various terrain;
- Vehicle control & response; and
- Snatch-strap recovery.
Note: All activities reinforce personal safety as a priority.

Designed to give a thorough understanding of competently handling a 4WD vehicle both off-road and over long distances. Encompasses skills in handling extreme terrain and harsh or remote conditions.
For the corporate/business or serious recreational off roader, who requires advanced skills and broad understanding of the limitations of their vehicle and themselves. The course provides an opportunity to practice and experiment with extreme terrain in a controlled situation with an experienced and qualified 4WD Trainer.
(1 day course if previously completed the 'Introductory 4WD Course')

- Bush Mechanics
